Default Post to pre-project drive bits

Got a donor 2000 V6 with all the right bits which I want on my 2004 V6. Not too bothered by the walnut, but a simple start I thought would be to swop the D panel finishers with the recessed badge. One simple screw and then they're off - nope don't want to move and appear very brittle. So how do you got them off in one piece?

Regards,

The top part of the trim slides into the full chrome piece that runs the length of the windows. Once the screw is out you should just be able to slide it back out.
