Rear subframe KHB000131 - metal or rubber bushes?
Does anyone know what effect a rear subframe with metal bushes will have on a 75 saloon?
As far as I know, the ZT has metal bushes and the 75 has rubber ones. (Either way, subframe P/N is KHB000131) |

Marginal, just allows a little less movement.
I actually doubt you could tell when fitted in isolation.

If you need a new subframe, dont be afraid to fit the 75. My subframe was fine, a little surface rust, which when blasted was still solid. If you were really concerned, you could try to swap out the bushes, but I wouldnt bother.

If it was designed to have rubber bushes, why would you think to change them?

I've bought the subframe already - two actually. The first one has rubber bushes and the second one has metal bushes, but both frames have the same part number on the label. (The first one is being returned btw, hence my question in post 1). The two bush numbers (if bought without a subframe) are in post 8 here - https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...d.php?t=235769 - but the links no longer work, so there's no definitive ID on Rimmers' site. |

Thank you I understand now, to me, logic says rubber bushes should be the quietest.

I misread you opening post, thinking you had a zt but could only get a 75 subframe with rubber bushes. Which is why I suggested if you wanted the solid bushes you could try to swap them over. Noise will be the main every day difference. But even then it is only slight. Sent from my SM-A600FN using Tapatalk

I will repeat...
I have a new 75 rubber bushed frame, and if anyone gets sent a new ZT Metal bushed frame and they would like to swap, let me know. I wanted the metal bushed. |
