Not being as expert on wiring as you obviously are could you confirm where you picked up the live feed for the blue "ANT" wire. Could save me a bit of time next time I pull it out again to fix this!

Many thanks

Mike
Hi Mike,

Splice it into the acc/ignition live wire on the head unit loom and you will be good to go

A big Thank you goes to Rob for finding this

Hi Mike,

Yep ignition live to avoid a flat battery. Otherwise the amp might end up running all the time!

Thanks guys, good to give something back. I've had plenty of use advice from this forum over the years.

Brilliant! All done and reception excellent - finding stations I did not know existed.

I spliced into a red wire that according to the diagram on top of the head unit was ACC In - hopefully that was the right one.

Thanks again

I think because I live in the back of beyond I was pushed into finding it out 😝

I had next to no reception at all without the amp.

Hi Rob, Because I had a few FM stations + DAB as a fallback I had resigned myself to accepting it for what it was.

I had looked at that blue wire and even taped over the bare connector and still the penny didn't drop

All good now though

Well done for finding this as I hadn't noticed
Wow, Thank you again Rob !
Jeff , should this be changed on the looms at factory level?

Okay So
Rob/Jeff So I should tell the factory to put the ANT (blue) into Pin 5 on the one that Matches the Grey ISO?
One thing i will mention is that some people change the Antenna leads but I guess that could mean they splice to the blue

Unless it will cause problems with any other wiring arrangement... earlier cars for example. But as I'm aware they all had an aerial amp. Jeff will likely know more than me on that front.
