Aha, I thought the Amazon Prime thing was a reference to streaming it on Amazon Prime Video. The DVD is available here - for $25.50 delivered.

Thanks,
Glenn

I came across this thread for the first time yesterday, so I thought I must at least have a look at it, not really expecting much.

Rare is the modern film I enjoy these days and I hate the CGI with a vengeance. This grabbed me from the start and I really enjoyed it. Jean was upstairs in bed and I was laughing so much she shouted down to ask if I was OK. Really good caste.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Yup, watched it myself last night - a thoroughly enjoyable film. Nice to see the club tax disc holder being proudly displayed .

It was particularly funny for me, because I used to work for the RBS. One of the things I had to do was visit each of my sites once a month. On one visit I walked into RBS Halifax and they had suffered one of these being triggered, between the two outer auto entrance doors. Some of the sites had an electronic dye trigger unit in the ceilings, by the doors, so they can be remotely triggered if someone tries to make off with the cash box.

Someone had caught the attack button, which triggered it. I heard the G4S guy caught the dye, the ceiling floor and pavement had obviously caught it too, that I could see from the purple stains and were there for weeks.

Incompetence from G4S? Surely not…

Name-dropping a bit here, I was friends with a folk musician called Barry Dransfield (played a blind fiddler in The Bounty in 1984), and he took me to a party in East Finchley some time in the late 80s, where I wandered around drunkenly having surreal conversations with musicians and ack-tors like Maureen Lipman, Viv Stanshall of the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band, and Bernard Hill.

I was bemoaning the fact that I hadn’t had a girlfriend in a while, and he said “Hey, look at me – I’m rich and famous and dead good-looking, and I haven't got one either.”
