Yeah would be nostalgic for me, as my old 325i had a pink dash 20 years ago

Hi, When I had my 75 I purchased a brand new real wood dash from "South Lakes Mini Centre". I remember the guy telling me that they had sold hundreds of these and still had plenty in stock. If you do get one from them then just be vigilant that the 3 sections all match properly and that there are no scratches etc. In the end I sent two complete sets back as they were not an acceptable standard but you may be lucky !

Cheers

It was because the real wood difficult to make to the quality standards. At one point QA were rejecting in the region of 65%

In comparison to the plastic ones they were works of art, so worth getting your hands on one.

Ah, That explains alot. Rejects indeed! When I think back my black oak dash which come with the car was nice apart from its extremely cheap and flimsy fitment which was my main reason for changing.

My passenger side airbag section of the wood dash has quite a significant scratch but it still looks better than the plastic light oak IMHO

However I am watching for a replacement

If it's real, the word "Airbag" will be a stencil & not a plastic badge
