Default Impossible Leak

Hello, Everyone. I haven’t posted for a long time but still around with my mad collection of 75s and a ZT. I have a question and I hope someone might be able to help please.

I have a sunroof leak. No... not the usual. I’ve checked all the drains, rodded, had the interior out, fitted pipe joiners under the dashboard... ALL the usual stuff. I have dry carpets! Haha.

No, this leak comes in through the courtesy light above the mirror. I’ve had the headlining off and the water seems to be coming from near the centre of the gutter channel at the front of the sunroof assembly. I’ve removed the wind deflector and cleaned it out carefully. I can see no cracks or obvious damage. However, there are these little moulded plugs along the length of the channel:

Without removing the whole assembly to look at the underside, does anyone have any experience of these little blighters being a point of leaking please? I really am fed up with it raining inside the car...

Thanks!

James

Hello, Lee. Lovely to see you’re still in the fold! The old White Gold gone now? Burt is well, thank you. He’s been wrapped up warmly in Spain for a couple of years now but he needs a new back box. I took him for a run around the resort he’s living on last week and it was a treat!

Thanks for the link - the drains are all clear but I’m going to seal everything with stone sealant anyway and do another water test.

How’s the family?

Here’s Burt last week. The shadows are street lamps - not paint damage!

Captain Tulley's gloop might do the trick. But it needs dry weather - preferably warm, dry weather.

The 'old mans gold' 'GOLDY' was sold to a forum member but he was T Boned by an idiot and sadly she was written off I believe. I saw a pic of her afterward she looked awful - all that care she was given!

Most importantly the owner (and his family) were fine!

I have had almost 2 years without a 75 but have recently returned to ownership of a lovely firefrost tourer much to my delight.

As for the family, unfortunately one of my teenagers is not well and has come down with a debilitating Testosterone poisoning but aside from that everyone is good thanks.

Glad Burt is still going!

I’m so sorry to hear that news, Lee. What’s the outlook for the condition?
