The route for this drain is via the back of the glove box and the pipe can easily come out inside the cabin and flood the passenger side of the car- it seems to have done it again. With the water inthe back footwell it mislead me. Don't be fooled where most of the water accumulates it can decieve
The question is. How do I dry all the left side of the carpets with their thick foam. Would like to get the carpets dried out as they smell pretty awful

This is a real problem with the 75 and a pathetic design! Anyone made modifications to this design. Potentially you could have 4 leaks inside the car!

Yes, there has been a great modification to the design, made by member Arctic. You can view it HERE, but I think you have to be a subscribed member. Just do a search for Sunroof drains & you should find the instructions on open forum.

this is a nicely illustrated thread; I ended up using an acid free silicone gutter sealer to permanently join the pipe however the Arctic method does mean you can take it out again should you need to

My plenums are clear, my sunroof drains are clear and the drainage channels ar all OK. No water in the boot or in the front footwells. This is an odd one as I know of all the usual checks. This is no small leak! All the carpet in the rear footwell is now drying out, after loads of water, but I have not detected the source of the leak.

Any clues much appreciated. I will have to just wait for the next rain now and sit in the car to find the source!

Thanks
I also have a similarly bad leak in the nsr passenger footwell. I just been out driving in wet weather (the footwell having been drying out nicely) and now its pouring in again. The source appears to be the anchor point for the nsf passenger seat belt. Does this mean an underside leak? Anyone?

Are you sure it is only on the near side rear passenger side?

Mine got in through the boot seal, filled the wheel well then the overflowed from there into the rear passenger footwell! (but bizzarely only one side - go figure!)

All because I used to park 'nose down' on my sloping driveway!

Its a pretty steep drive TBH.

Solution was easy I parked on the flat and the misses uses the drive.

Problem never occurred again

Hello & welcome, are you sure its from the seat belt area, the normal cause of water in the rear footwell is from the rear light seals, the water then runs forwards during braking, or if you park with the front of the car facing downhill.

There's some slight dampness in the front passenger footwell, but the rear is like a pond!

It just seems wetter at that point. I've only just got this car so I'm still finding my way around. I'll strip out the boot and have a poke around.

This one is easy to check....and put it in correctly!

Hope this helps!
