I used some this week...
I'm sure she feels better to drive, smoother & better acceleration and dare I say it.....quieter. Might just all be in my mind though I will continue to use it...can't hurt

Rather than spill when filling, a syringe with a piece of tube on the end helps to locate in the filler.

It’s a bit like preventative maintenance, it doesn’t do any harm.
But don’t as some folks think putting a shot of Redex pruduces a miraculous cure for a tired engine. The same applies to changing from a regular oil to a high spec oil. Results are only achieved over a period of time. BTW I always use Redex or an equivalent fuel line cleaner regularly by putting a full bottle into a full tank of fuel. |

I first started using Redex in the 1950s.
It was Free on the forecourts in those squirty cans. This lasted a few years then I think I stopped using it. Fast forward to1994. Used a Citroen XM for 190,000 miles. No Redex. Also a Peugeot for a similar mileage. Again no Redex. No injector problems with either car so for me the jury is out on the benefits of Redex. Maybe it could benefit a poorly maintained car but do nothing for one that's well looked after.--- |

fill her up and a couple shots of Redex
I have had a 75 since last July ( low mileage 46000 ) as the car had not been driven regularly it was not very smooth on acceleration, watched a video on YouTube using Redex in a diesel that was over 25 years old , the performance and fuel economy come back almost to when the car was manufactured. The video was not sponsored by Redex
I decided to start using it, my car is a different car, smooth acceleration and MPG improvement . I will continue to use in the car until I stop driving. |

Always used Redex in all our cars, may be subjective but they seem to run better for it. My Dad always did it so why not, he usually knew what he was talking about! Chris S.

I was always a bit sceptical about the use of Redex and the likes.
However, many people swear by the stuff and then I saw this video. Quite interesting, as they actually measured an improvement. I now use it myself.

Following on from using Redex. I used in my 220sd Rover Duckhams oil. I swapped to Millers XFE and noticed that it seemed to be free’r revving and no oil used. Some day I will swap from Castrol Magnatec to Millers oil again, and see if it makes any difference again. Also got around on average, about 2/3 more mpg over a few years I used it. When I do I will report back, but at the mo have enough oil for a couple of more oil changes.
