Replaced my broken cigar/cigarette (delete as appropriate) lighter that had imploded into many many bits when I had gently inserted a USB adapter for my dash cam and satnav.

I sourced the entire base unit of ash tray etc which today I inserted.

Amyway thanks to Trikey for instructing me how to insert the power wiring into the replacement lighter (sausage finger use avoidance tip).

As you can see from the picture a fairly obvious solution!

I now have working dash cam

Default you know when your head is banging off that brick wall????

When you decide that white LED light looks harsh and horrible when illuminating the number plate, so you exchange them for a pair of nice new Osram festoon bulbs for that nice warm glow

Just don't decide to do it an hour before taking your car for an MOT, I'd forgotten just how high quality the lamp plinth PCB is on these cars, I suppose it did manage to work for at least some of the ten mile trip to the testing station

I put the instrument cluster back in after Rick installed a new screen for me.

No more lines. Lovely!

Happy Roving, Happy Christmas all !

Hi,finished taking out the V6 engine from the spares car,did it by taking the front off, taking off front subframe, gearbox then finally the engine.Dropping it onto a trolley and wheeling it out.Would have preferred it if it was summer time as doing it on the drive this time of year gets uncomfy.Would have done it quicker but was on my own.Regards Ry......

Cool

Taking the V8 400 ZTT for a long blast to Lymington for our IOW trip. The petrol stations along the way have been warned.

On Wednesday I took the V8 out for a run up to Loughborough to pick up some parts I’d bought from a chap who came to our stand at the NEC. A new Xenon headlamp, front and rear Bilstein Shock absorbers for the V8 inc coil springs, two new V8 back boxes and three Apex alloys one with an unused tyre on, all for £650. Bargain.

The 300 mile round trip in my 260 was bliss, just a pity I spent the same amount again in fuel for the journey
