Cigar lighter
I'd like an expert to clarify if this is always live on a Facelift 75 please?
Need to know as using it for SatNav etc Also.... My lighter port fell to bits upon inserting a device and is physically broken. Im awaiting replacement unit (ash tray/cigar) unit. Obviously i'll disconnect battery before replacement. The wiring into the cigar lighter seems to fiddly to get my fingers in there, does the wiring have a connector that is more accessable? (Ie to the main loom and within easy reach)?

Hold the plug using a set of long nosed pliers, that's how I reconnect the power to the cigar lighter.
Otherwise you have to change the full centre console loom.

Thanks for reply.
Does that mean any device connected will drain the battery? Such as iPod/SatNav etc?

Facelift with a Mk2 fuse box is permanently live, hence if you leave a dash cam plugged in for a long period of time you might find your battery flat
Hope that helps Mick
