Sun sensor problems
I bought a 75 club recently and found that the sun sensor on dashboard was not connected so looked on line for a remedy, all I got was "dashboard out" to fix it, time 6+ hours and pricey.
Then I thought there must be an easier way, I got a torch shined through the screen into the hole to see if I could see the cable, I found the wires and connector, this is what I did. Take a wire coat hanger straighten it out make a 3" drop on the end and a small hook, put it into the hole and try to hook the wires, this will need a bit of fiddling but in the end I the wires popped up, take a bit of spare wire and push it under the wires so they don't fall back in drop the hook then gently ease it up and the connector popped out. Put the bit of wire through the wires under the connector to stop falling back in, this is where it gets tricky as there is not much room, I used a long nosed forceps took hold of connector use a latex glove on left hand and reconnect the sensor and place it back in the hole. Job done. |
