Default Wanted: Walnut & leather Steering Wheel

Long shot I know but I'm after a walnut & sandstone leather steering wheel.

Think it's sandstone, it's the beige one.

If anyone can help I'd appreciate it.

Actually more sandstone ones turn up on e-bay than the smokestone...... And they all usually go for around £170+

I did see that one and noticed it was oak not walnut.

I had thought about dying the leather if I can find a walnut one.

Thanks anyway.

Hi Ajd1:lol:,

I bought a light oak and sandstone wheel off ebay a month ago (should be arriving from Bulgaria any day now - fingers crossed), and will be using it to the replace the smokestone and walnut one on my car, cos the latter doesn't match the sandstone interior. I was going to stick the walnut wheel on here and/or ebay, but if you are interested let me know. Personally however I'd wait for one in sandstone/walnut to come up, as I wouldn't fancy dyeing the leather on the wheel - but maybe you know something I don't.

Cheers
Leander

Hi Leander,

Could be interested, is the wheel in good condition with no chips etc?

And of course the price, how much would you be asking for it?

Thanks

Andy

Hi Adj1:lol:,

The wheel is in very good condition, the wood, has one tiny dent - the size of the head of a pin, which is barely visible or feelable, and one tiny scratch, the width of a hair and about 1.3cm long. I will post pics if you are interested, but I'll wait for my replacement to arrive first - it should be here any day now (as I said, fingers crossed). I'll also need a to wait for a decent day in regards to natural light, as my camera flash is not ideal for close ups of shiny surfaces. Oh, and it also has cruise controls on it, and comes from a 02 Conny SE.

I'll also need to borrow the tools and get a brain transplant to fit it, or maybe some skilled member in my viscinity (Lancaster) can help, though I am willing to travel a fair way to get that help, as well as to have a chat with a fellow member about 75s (I've only had mine since November 09).

As for the price, I think the average for the going rate seems to be about £180, plus whatever postage costs arise from the buyers choice of postal options.

Cheers
Leander

Thanks for the reply it sounds good.

But I was hoping for a little bit cheaper than that, unfortunately with having to dye the leather it would push the price too high.

Not your problem I know and thanks for the offer, I'm maybe being too tight.

I'm sure you will get what you are asking with no problem on ebay, good luck with your future sale.

Thanks again

Andy
