Stall and refuse to restart
My CDTi has always started instantly, hot or cold, no matter how log its been stood. The other day, after a twenty mile run, entering my drive it stalled blocking the road. It had started cold instantly as usual, driven fine all the way, right back to drive gates.
Its a tricky entrance, up hill, so I tend to slow right down. It stalled, cranked over quite easily, but failed to restart, for maybe 30 seconds. I'll run some diagnostics on it later, but suggestions welcome..

How much fuel onboard Harry?
If low your ITP may have bought the farm. Have a quick listen to the open fuel filler pipe with key to position II. And does the oil light comes on as it should with key to position II? |

It a two pump system, half a tank of fuel and I was in too much of a hurry blocking the road to try to investigate. I check the tank pump regularly by listening at the filler, but I will check again. I've had a can of Easystart in the boot, just in case, since I originally got the car. Thanks.. Tank pump is running, sound fine, quiet; No DTC's at all, it has done around 3,000 since I last checked for DTC; it started as normal, with hardly any cranking. Would a cam sensor trigger a DTC? I know injector leakback wouldn't and I have never, ever checked that.
