2.5 V6 Fuel Consumption
Thought id write a few words about fuel consumption.......I had to travel from Tamworth to Sheffield today, filled the tank up i Tamworth and she was returning an average of 43mpg (if I had continued the drive it would have returned 600+ miles to a full tank)......I thought that was good for a 2.5 V6.......just shows big cars are good on fuel

If the reading was from the IPK then thats about right for a long motorway only run. However if thats a brim to brim method then thats amazing.
On a long run I get the IPK telling me it's about 40 something but in reality it's nearer 38. I'm still happy with that. I get over 450 miles a tank on runs. Also I found you can never trust the petrol gauge on anything but a medium trip. Long trips and it does not drop properly. Short trips it can read to low. Weird.

That is really good going  Do you find your car better at around 55-60mph, as they say thats optimal? I usually drive at 60-70 on the motorways and my Auto usually shows around 40 on the trip computer which would be around 38 true mpg |
