Smile It's been mentioned many times

I don't know if any of you have noticed, but our cars are getting rarer. About a year ago I used to see a bunch of 75s around and a scattering of ZT/ZTTs when going about the place.

A year on and I'm seeing a scattering of 75s and virtually no ZT/ZTTs.

So I googled 'how many left' and discovered that not only are there a couple of sites offering the information, but our cars are rare/very rare.

Their latest figures put the total ZT versions at less than 2000, with there being less than 200 ZT+190s total! I'm guessing here, but I bet there are more Aston Martins, Ferraris, Lamborghinis and other exotic cars on the road in the UK presently.

Thank heaven for the club and the enthusiastic community ❤️

The how many left website is known to be way off with numbers. My Alpina doesn't exist according to them. They only made 358 of the my car.

I know of five cars in a fifteen mile radius of where I live that are rotting in driveways and carparks.

The outrageous VED probably has something to do with it.

I wouldn't trust the numbers on these so called how many left websites, as they've been known to be way off.

But I agree you hardly ever see a 75 or ZT on the road now.

Back when I bought my typhoon in 2014 I used to see the odd 75 or ZT around when living in Essex. But from around 2016/17 on wards I've vary rarely been seeing one. I see a few 75's here in Norfolk now and again, but never come across another ZT. See a few MGF's and TFs though. Same with Rover 25's/ZR's and Rover 45's/ZS's, very rarely see them.

There's still a lot about, just don't know where they're always hiding.

Tend to keep mine off the salty roads, so summer use only. Still have 4 x 75s and 2 x ZTs - hoping they will last me out!

I see quite a few 75’s around here and pass a black facelift one regularly, sat on a driveway in a small village. Not noticed any ZT/-T’s other than my own for a long while.
There is however a house with an Ignition Blue facelift ZR and a silver facelift ZS around the corner from me.

Some excellent, thought provoking replies here. As an obsessive autistic boomer I checked multiple sites for the information. They are all broadly in agreement, based on data from Swansea.
I appreciate my experience is anecdotal at best, but as owners of increasingly rare British cars I am proud to be a part of this particular history.
It is my hope that by the time I have forgotten my name, the Raptor will be almost as good as new!
Long live MGR!

I have to look at a mk1 ZT V8 several times a day, and have done for the last 5 or 6 years. It lives right across from where I live, and it's not moved once. Makes me cry, I could be driving that.

Cool

There’s a few around in the West Country. I generally see a few each week, mainly 75’s.
