Morning all, I don't know what's happened to our "heatwave" we've got grey clouds & light rain here

So your kittens are named Simon and Louis. Cute, cute, cute

The thing with pests and slugs in the garden is to use science and Mother Nature against them. The latest weapon is called Integrated Pest Management Control IPM. Using organic methods and not chemicals. Here is a link to explain some more with ideas, if your thinking about ridding the garden of caterpillars and slugs, aphids, white fly, etc, look up Organic Pesticides, you can also get them on Amazon. .....https://www.no-dig-vegetablegarden.c...l-control.html

Morning Phil, Yes their 7 year / 100,000 mile warranty is peace of mind indeed, You're right it's packed with tech toys I've still not got around to trying out yet, I've forgotten half of the stuff the nice lady at Kia Bolton spent ages showing me how everything works

I'll have a look at site later as I'm not into using chemicals as we get lots of cats calling round in the night.

We never had this problem until we bought some shrubs from a garden centre, you can shake one of the trees/shrubs & dozens of snails drop down from behind the leaves it's like watching a plague of locust advance across the lawns at night.

Hi Ian, nature’s gift with certain herbs and shrubs repel insects from mating by the smell. Rhubarb and garlic, neem oil, all natural, act as repellents. In South Africa we put in some shrubs around the garden to keep the snakes away from the house. The anti-snake shrubs smelled like raw onion when watered. Just a thought Have a great day.

Morning sun worshippers - it's finally risen in the sky here too!
My list of "things to do today" gets longer and longer - mainly because if I don't do something - it transfers to the following day's list
Pressure washing the paths in the garden seems to be priority today - before my water meter is fitted - I'll be a lot more circumspect when I'm charged on usage

Afternoon all, the warm sunshine has finally arrived, It's a beautiful afternoon/evening out there now.

Chicken casserole for tea tonight, I wouldn't have minded a salad in this nice weather.

Good EveningFolks, cleaned the gutters out, repaired two leaking gutter connectors, hosed down the Solar Panels, put up two new light sensor bulbs, mowed the grass, now sitting out the back with a Henry Weston’s Cider, missus preparing Spaghetti Bol for tea.

.....and in a parallel universe, I have spent today:
  • Taking down spouting and guttering on the garage
  • Painting the fascia board ready for the new guttering tomorrow
  • Polished off a plate full of home-made spagbol
..... and now slurping a bottle of Thatchers Gold cider - all in glorious sunshine
Déja vu ??
