Is the engine cranking? If so then check your plenum drains and that the ECM hasn't gone for a swim.

Does the oil light come on when you get the EP up on the dash?

The EP doesn't necessarily mean a fault with the auto box, it might be that the ECM is at fault and not communicating with it.

Does the oil pressure warning light come on before you try and start it?

And if you have an under bonnet low pressure fuel pump check that it is running when you are trying to start the car.

It sits just inboard of the battery behind the fuel filter.

Hmm, broken can bus controller in the ECM, or broken wiring to the UB fusebox.

You sure the ECM hasn't been swimming?, if so ECM repairs can usually be carried out subject to parts availability in the case of the NNN100720A version.

Bit cheaper than Rimmers too

If not I have ECM units on the shelf, for a quick turnaround service exchange

Harry,

I'm not a diesel expert but the glow plug module is located in the plenum chamber which is susceptible to flooding when the drain tubes are blocked. If this module gets wet it malfunctions and can flatten the battery. I suggest that you check here, if only to rule it out.

Simon
