tap
On my touch pad mouse, how come it keeps selecting things when i hit the pad why does it keep selecting things in the same way the left mouse button does? I know there is an accesibility option for this but the girlfriend says she has switched this off, how can I check? Also, if I go into muse in the control panel and just click ok, it seems to resolve it for a few clicks.

It depends on the model? is this on a laptop? or a seperate mouse pad?
most laptops the default setting for the touch pad is when you tap it it acts like the left button, and this can usually be turned off in its own options menu. If it is not in the control panel, look in the programs listings. it is also possible it is running on windows default settings having had its drivers uninstalled, or possibly they were never installed to start with, you can check with the laptops makers what drivers/software is available and usually download it from thier website. To get rid of the accesibilty stuff alltogether.. (this may not work with all version of XP) Choose Start|Settings|Control Panel and double-click Add or Remove Programs. On the left side, click Add/Remove Windows Components. Click Accessories and Utilities and then click the Details button. remove checkmark next to the Accessibility Wizard job done.
