Router suggestion time
I'm currently using a Belkin - what a waste of money that was.
So, looking for something to replace it. It needs to be robust & reliable, able to handle 20Mb speeds, and simple to set up. Any suggestions please people? |

ADSL or Cable, Tatts?
And do you need it to have a built in modem? What about wireless? |

D'oh!
Sorry! It's a wireless cable router I need, I have a seperate cable modem. The desktop is connected to the router via RJ45 cable, and the lappy will be connected via wireless. |

I've been using a Netgear WGT624 for a few months now, never dropped a connection, never been powered off or rebooted since the day it was switched on.
Very pleased with it! http://www.netgear.com/Products/Rout...rs/WGT624.aspx Don't pay more than £50 |

Couple of quid cheaper on ebuyer - http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/52450
Or refurbs on ebay £27.99 delivered? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Netgear-WGT624...QQcmdZViewItem |

I like CCL, I can go & pick it up. I'd never use Ebuyer; they're ok until you have to return something, then things often go awry.
Don't really fancy a refurb, gimme a nice shiney new one! |

Great router, supports upnp, port forwarding, b/g wifi using wep or wpa and 108mbps with a netgear card, blocked sites, parental control, time/date blocking (turn off the internet at 8pm, great for getting the kids to go to bed!), dhcp, dyndns, etc, etc!
Enjoy |

Not using them again. Got the router in the end, VERY reliable, never had a problem with it. Have had two speedtouch devices, wired and now wireless, always been rock solid. David |
