Are you sure the connections to the resistor are 100% ok?

the answer would be to put a meter across the gold resistor connections and see if you read a resistance. If you do than the resistor is ok if you don't
it is open circuit and you would have to check with the seller. Since the fan has run since you fitted the resistor it would appear that the fuse link (a metal strap) is intact but you would certainly see if it has blown. Last edited by wuzerk; 8th December 2013 at 14:50.. |

Thanks for all the replies, I've sorted it temporarily it was my connections that were wrong. Not a lot of room or wire behind the fan and my crimp wasn't quite tight enough.
