Default fast idling

my 1.8 has just started running fast on tickover can some one help solve the problem please

Stepper motor probably requires a reset!

Wee note: stepper motor has to be adjusted by T4, can't do anything with it yourself.

When I visited Brian earlier this year he discovered my stepper motor had never been adjusted! He'd never seen one so far out.

Turn ignition on to position 2, don't start the engine.
Now press the throttle pedal through it's entire stroke five times.
Switch off ignition, then start the car.
