Default What are they

Can you please tell what are the Plenum drain's and where to look ?

also what are the problem's with the bonnet lock? Fan seem's to be working ok but i see check's on Jule's page .

The plenum drains are below the windscreen under the bonnet, you will see a hole towards the passenger wing & one on the drivers side (this is generally plugged & should be). It is important to keep the plenums free of debris (leaves etc.) as water running off the vehicle needs to filter away via the plenums otherwise if they are blocked it will over spill onto the electrics and can damage the ECU which is not cheap to replace.

Also I see like me you own a 1.8 If you don't know already it is very important to keep a close eye on the water level as this engine can be prone to over heating if levels are not maintained, then suffering the dreaded HGF! you will see lots of threads on this forum about it. Regularly check that the water is on the mark and no signs of oil (mayo look) in the water. Sadly you can't really rely on the temp gauge so check levels & for additional peace of mind you can retro fit a Hans digital temp gauge (ordering mine this weekend) again many threads about this.
