Out of interest, how did you repair the hole in the pipe without removing the slave ?

I’m guessing that the pipe was cut and a joiner fitted.

Marinabrian, I see you mentioned a LHD master cylinder is cheaper. Where can I purchase one?

I believe this will have been the part mentioned:

https://www.dmgrs.co.uk/products/gen...5480-stc000110

We still have about 30 here.

I recently fitted one of the above (DMGRS LHD master) and can confirm that it works beautifully with a Borg & Beck clutch and a Delphi/AP slave. Clutch feels significantly lighter than the original.

Thanks for the great feedback, can I add it to the product page? It's always good to get member's reviews.

I found the same on one I fitted for a friend, feels like it should do, at a fraction of the price.

Colin cut out the small bit of pipe and replaced it using a flaring tool.

The master cylinder can be cleaned up and bled prior to connecting to the new slave, and is certainly far preferable to the Tazu "lash up" master which I wouldn't even consider fitting to any car of mine.

If you decide you want a new master, LHD versions are considerably cheaper, and one split pin/roll pin combination to swap over the pipework, and job's a good 'un.

Thanks Brian. I went to see Dave after speaking to you at the Whitley Bay car show last year. He certainly knows 75's inside out! I will be asking Dave to replace clutch. Interestingly the clutch appears fine and Dave has suggested it will be the slave that is defective. As car is almost 19 years old and on original clutch worthwhile doing at same time.
