It doesn't even fit as the locating pins don't match the holes. There's also less friction material than the valeo that's in it just now. Clearly you don't even get what you pay for.

I fitted a Borg and Beck clutch kit inc slave cylinder 8k miles ago. Nothing wrong and was a great price too

Just before I buy... Im assuming the Freelander TD4 is exactly the same clutch plate and housing?

Saw this:-

This being manufactured by AP Lockheed, would be as close as you can get to fitting a real original equipment setup as would have come from the factory.

In the end I bought a genuine Land Rover item, as I already have a new LUK slave in stock, which I will be fitting to the ZT once the project 75 is reassembled





I just thought it may be of interest to anyone thinking of a clutch in the near future

So why is everyone not just buying them for £75 or less for a proper AP item?!

When you say they are the same, do you mean literally they are the same part, or that they just happen to fit despite being different somehow?

Once the box is off, Im not messing about, if I find something doesnt fit with the car in pieces... I will lose the plot. Its SO cold up here for messing about with this, I want to keep time spent to a minimum.

Default my experience

I fitted a Freelander Clutch Assembly Cpte plus the Lux master both are working fine...that was at least 30k ago (from buypartsforless?) memory fading.

Is there any possibility the TD4 clutch cover plate is actually stiffer than the "ZT" one, or did Rover just box the same part in two different packages/part numbers?
