Has it got a PRT? If so, don't mess with the upper stat housing behind the head. There's nothing in it to change. The thermostat is outside beneath the radiator and can be replaced easily at any time (if necessary). TC |

Yes, many thanks, it does have a PRT and in theory, much easier to deal with. The location of my steam vent appears to be forward of the off side of the radiator, so that's where I'll be concentrating my search.

Okay, ran it up to temperature and I don't appear to be having any temperature issues, but there is steam appearing around the front top alternator side of the rad. from behind condenser pipe flanges, I still cannot find the source of the steam. Tomorrow, probably now going to take the fan cowl off.
