Default New year, new car and back into the fold!

Finally picked up another 75 after 5 month of not having one. Glad to drive one again, funny how these cars get under your skin...

Anyway, been looking for a ztt but never found one I liked enough to look at or didn't have time etc. dropped on my current 75 and virtually bought it on sight.
The car had to be an estate. Wouldn't even consider one that wasn't and ideally I wanted another v6 auto so options were pretty limited. Then this one turned up at £995 and couldn't help but have a look.

It's a chatsworth Connie se 2.5 auto and ticked the majority of my boxes. I would have liked cruise and xenons but they are something I can add later. But I always fancied a monogram car so could let those slip.

Seems to have been well looked after by its previous owner, back seats don't seem to have been sat on and drivers seat and steering wheel has little wear considering it's done 100k.

Few small issues to resolve mainly the thermostat as there are quite obvious tide marks and it is using some water

Also, there's quite a large amount of oil in the inlet manifold to clean out and I'm sure both vis motors are duff but happily the manifold is in perfect condition so it's not all bad.

Also the belts seem to have been done at some point as it isn't an original rover one which is a good thing but slightly worrying was all the bolts in the top belt covers were lose so Im going to check everything.

So plans for the car in the near future are to give it a good service (all fluids and filters) fix all the little niggles and stick a tow bar on it.

So all in all I think it's a nice easy project and I'm certainly happy for what it cost (a little over £800). Hopefully it will bring me many miles of happiness because my last one didn't!

I'm surprised it wasn't snapped up sooner than i had got to it, think it had been on a week before I even saw it on eBay!

Just discovered it's got the cruise loom in place so I'm just on the lookout for parts of anyone's selling

Got one sorted thanks mat but I recon I'll need a new temp sensor so I'll drop you a pm. I need a service kit anyway so I'll give it a week and see if there's anything else I need and get it all in a 1er.

has a busy few days over the last few week, and got quite a bit done.

changed thermostat,
oil and coolant change
track rod end
tow bar fitted

few things lined up in the coming weeks

top strut bearings
gearbox oil change
drivers door lock actuator (stopped working the other day)

also got to take the car into work and remove the stupid mcgard wheel bolts. managed to get the drivers front out with a tiny chisel I had to hand but its not man enough to get the others out so im going to weld a nut onto them and remove that way.

other than that it seems like a well looked after car. had a few items replaced fairly recently like the back box but will need front pads in the near future and the handbrake needs sorting.

At first I thought it was white gold 2 which is my favourite facelift 74 tourer colour but now I've a new favourite.

Look forward to updates on this.

You just can't escape them can you.
