Firefrost 75 going to be broken.
Just purchased this one, not to break, but save.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rover-75-C...item3f4ae69c91 Car is still intact and being cleaned by the seller as I type. Needs better wheel, me thinks. |

Well done for rescuing her
I have just done the same with a 2001 75 club se with a suspect cam belt problem, the hunt for a new engine is on, I assume you didn't pay 99p for it |

Strange situation, it was on e-bay as a breaker, engine goosed (claimed HG and warped head). I wanted the engine to harvest the bottom end to do a N/A to turbo conversion. I hinted that perhaps I could have a freebie but was informed they had no one to remove then engine and that they would have to employ someone to remove the lump. At that point they said I could have the whole car for effectively the value of the scrap. So it was a bite their hand off moment and now they have no hands. I didn't have the heart to bid them down on such a low price.
Collecting in on Wednesday. I now need to start looking again for a goosed engine so that I can harvest the bottom end to do the conversion I had planned. Last edited by RodgerD; 25th April 2015 at 23:20.. |
