Whats the longest you have been floored by a virus.
Iv,e had a virus for a week now , started off with the sneezing and wet beak then the night sweats , then the weakness in the limbs and lungs full of mucus, last 2 days a head that wants to explode and i have no desire to eat. Been taking a bottle for the cattarh and paracetamol but i'm still out on my feet , anyone else got this cos it,s getting me down now. |

Sorry matey I'm fine but the "managements" started again hope it doesn't develop as bad as it did for her in October, she's not smoked since the last time so I thought her "tubes" would be better.

Sorry to hear your woes. My word of advice would be get the Doctor to check your lungs to see if they are "clear". I had this last March it went on for nearly a month and doctors could not identify it. "It is a virus and will clear up". Eventually they referred me for tests and the chest specialist informed me that it had been pneumonia and pleuresy! Still have some lung scarring and fluid. Due for a further visit on Jan 24th.
Do not be fobbed off if you are still feeling rough. Good Luck |

I had this a couple of months ago mate, the problem is (if it is the same strain) you will start to feel better after about 14 days, then it comes back with a vengeance!

Both Gill and I have been sick for a fortnight now
Put the mockers on Christmas as it hit us before we'd got all the pressies sorted or even got any cards done (we're going to send out New Year ones instead) Gill is back at work tomorrow, although I don't think she's really strong enough yet. I'm on Leave until next Tuesday, so hoping I'll be OK by then....

my advice is tell her not to go as she will find it impossibe to sustain any energy level if it,s what i have .
It seems to attack ALL functions , i even get blurred eyesight . Giving this 2 more days then it,s the dreaded quack, they just hit you with anti biotics that also kill the good stuff we have in our bods. |

I'm insisting that she comes home (or rather lets me fetch her) if she feels she can't hack it Docs are not a lot of use. I went and got antibiotics which have made no difference, she went and was told they would be of no use!
