Changed my tatty steering wheel with peeling dye, for a nice shiny black ZT one. (My ash grey personal line interior ).

Changed my front indicator bulbs, with help from the excellent guide from Suzublu here: http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=122597. I'd noticed how white they were, despite having passed the MOT a few weeks ago! New ones are a great improvement and are now the right colour. As they were, if on permanently would've passed as DRLs!

Well today has been a long wet and windy day, Started first thing at 7am changing the original battery, as it had finally given up the ghost, and I replaced it with a very nice S5 Bosch from carparts4less @£60 delivered to my door

Then off to Neath to pick up some Dotz aftermarket alloys, with some nice 235/45/17 tyres on, wheels need a big refurb..... will have a go myself, as I really do not like the Subaru wheels I have had for winter use, they do not suit our cars at all imo.

Got home to find Amazon and Ebay had left me a nice box of bits, one being a New K+N panel filter.... fitted that and took car for a run, and it "feels" better, not so much delay at throttle... but no real sound difference, which is a shame, I do like the roar of a cone, but another job ticked off the list. Lots of leds on a roll ..... yes I will be seen from the Moon.

Did spot a nice Tourer CDti when I joined the M4 at Newport, hogging the middle lane, RO04.. did not see the rest of the plate, as I went past it too fast .......it vanished behind me never to be seen again.

And my chinese ditch finders handled really well, @70mph ish :P, along the M4, hit a few patches of standing swimming pools, that gave me a twitch... but nothing like the poor Astra on the A470... who appeared to have spun... and spun, with all emergency services at the scene as I passed.

Treat day today - Oil & Filter change, Air filter & Pollen filter at the same time.
And checked the plenum drain - a few leaves in there, but all clear now...

Just hope I do not crash it in the dessert

The other good news is I convinced the good lady to take ownership of Clarabelle, so I do not have the heartbreak of selling her...(Clarabelle that is)

Bad news, I have a 2003 316ti BMW e46 for sale.... 2100 ovno

I've upgraded the old Nokia wired hands free kit I found behind the dashboard of my ZT. It's now Bluetooth and working perfectly! Very easy and cheap to do so if you have an old wired Nokia kit don't tear it out!!

In the last couple of days, I've replaced the in-tank fuel pump, drop links and lower engine mount.

The fuel pump was the cause of some scraped knuckles and some swearing!

All done now though and the car is definitely better for it. Just waiting for some new brake discs and pads to arrive and it should be good It's amazing how much smoother the car feels after swapping the engine mount. The one that came off wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. I could only see a couple of very fine splits in it but decided it was worth changing. I was expecting it to look worse once it was off, but it doesn't really. that said, the 2 splits do go almost 2/3 of the way through, they just haven't opened up like I thought they would.

I fitted a thermostat in the radiator top hose and cleaned out the EGR .

Inspected plenum drains, lower engine mount and crankshaft pulley, and found them all to be good
Still have time for tea and biccies before annoying all the family and transporting the living room to Intelagos for the Brazilian GP.
