Hello Ian,
My lady and I would like to attend this meeting but as I'm awaiting an operation, (knee joint replacement) the boat trip would be unwise. Sad as an ex naval man I love the sea. ... Still it will be great to see the members from fairly local areas again. I'm looking forward to it immensely. Cheers, Mike.

You've not neen paying attention James. Many thousands of miles travelled between Manchester and my late parents house in Weymouth. Holidays taken there too, before my parents moved there. I remember Lodmoor before it was developed. I explored the Nothe fort before it was restored and open to the public. I had vacation jobs at Devenish Brewery - now the Time Walk? and at the railway station. I've accompanied boat trains to the quay. I've taken a day trip to Calais by ferry. Oh, and I once did Manchester to Weymouth and back in 12 hours with a 2 hour break - when motorways weren't busy 24 hours a day.
It's 10 years since I've been to Weymouth so it is the first time I've been down in the 75, but my previous cars practically knew their way on their own.
