Those look bootiful Steve I did some salmon fillets with mash & peas for tea but I did a plateful of toasted hot cross buns earlier & ending up scoffing the lot I'll wrap that fish tea up & put it in the fridge for tomorrow as I'm not hungry now.

Just been in the garage & that wind is still Baltic.

Morning all,

Yesterday I had the 4x4 serviced. Three mechanics visited at home and carried out a major service. Some corroded and cracked pipes in the engine were found and replaced: AC and thermostat. Oil, air and fuel filters replaced.

Another problem was found: a hissing noise! from the exhaust when the engine is turned off.

On Tuesday the 4x4 is going to a workshop in the Industrial area of Nairobi, where the exhaust will be removed, inspected and repaired with welding etc,. The estimated cost is about £28 (hopefully).

The service yesterday was £30 Labour, parts was £50, in addition Shell oil 5W30 7L £60, Coolant ready mixed about £15.

A/C regassed £16:67

Servicing looks cheaper than in the UK? Parts are just as expensive. The price of labour is negotiable.

Sorry nothing more mundane to report.

We are planning on going on a long drive into the bush and I want the car to be safe and okay for driving on and off road.

How is everyone?

Morning Phil. Yes I should have gone upstairs to get my camera that was connected to the desktop PC & I'd left my phone in the car Just being lazy.

I was going to start trimming the trees in the garden this weekend as they're getting out of hand but, this cold north-easterly wind says otherwise

I need to get a Mother's Day card & a bunch of flowers for Mam before it's too late.

Yeah, need to take a day off work!

Curious to see how Ollie Bearman gets on in the Saudi GP. Up til Friday morning he was racing in the Jeddah F2 race then got a phone call that he was standing in for Carlos Sainz who has appendicitis. Qualifying he was only 0.53 seconds slower than Leclerc

Aha! Assuming that this is not reference to a medical problem then perhaps sight of your recent stowaway could be a clue as to what steps should be taken next.

Blimming big ones would be my advice.

Boris is a sweetheart.

Repotting more tomato seedlings this afternoon in the greenhouse as they've got too big for the sowing trays, Just hope the weather picks up before they keel over from low light levels & cold. This wind is still perishing & that's me done for the day outside.
