Choice of colour Silver Sparkle, having seen various newly refurbished wheels in this finish at meets, done well they look superb.
Thank you for the reply Mark, if I have the wheels done they are going to be done, I am pretty certain I will get them done in Silver Sparkle with the feedback.

Thank you for your reply Malcolm, looking like I will have the wheels finished in Silver Sparkle if I have them done as I want them to have a shine or sparkle yo them and not look dull.

My 11's are going for refurb tomorrow. Sparkle silver, with a pearlescent lacquer, for added "colour flip" in the sunshine if we ever get any.
Thank you for your reply Darran, Silver looks like is the colour to have the wheels finished with, also thank you for mentioning about the pearlescent lacquer I had not thought about that being used.

If I have the wheels refurbished it is almost certain I will have them finished in Silver Sparkle following my thoughts and feedback.

Has anyone used this company? http://www.proalloys.co.uk

Also does anyone have any thoughts about wheel colour such as going for original sparkle silver or something different?

Thanks

I had both my Serpents, and my Meteors refurbished last summer by "The Wheel Specialist". They did a great job and the wheels came out factory fresh (as you'd expect). They were finished in one of their standard powder coat colours "Sport 1" which, despite how it looks on their web site, is a pretty much perfect match for MG Rover silver sparkle. So much so that I was able to leave the wheel centres untouched.

They have a branch in Bristol if it's of any use to you.

Cliff

I've had steel grey wheels on my 75 for a couple of years now. Still like them but next time they're refurbished, next year if I still have the car, I'm thinking of the original liquid silver used on facelifts rather than silver sparkle.

I do agree colours are subjective. I don't think my wheels would work well on a darker coloured car but look fine on a Starlight Silver one.

I had my Apex's done in a grey colour, they look great when its clean but I think I might get my other set done in Silver or smoked chrome.

You will be amazed the difference a set of returned wheels make, get new centre caps and some tyre black transforms the look. Had them done on mine and didn't realise how faded and work they were.

Horses for courses but I'm not a fan of white rims.
