ok, being careful not to get partisan... I decided to protest by absence..
If each person votes by ensuring that X does not get in power then your vote is wasted on ABC or Y.

If you do not like any of them, let them know by voting for none of them.
If everyone votes in the blocking vote fashion the turnout is high and politicians think every thing is working because people vote...
If hardly anyone voted due to them all being untrustworthy or full of personal agendas etc, then they would get the message that we are not satisfied with the status quo.

My vote is my endorsement, my permission to empower to decide on my behalf, that is what our fathers and grandfathers (and mothers) fought and died for, not to waste a vote on numpty x because he is not as bad as numpty y

The lesser of 2 evils is still an evil, the devil you know is still a devil.

If they put as much effort into solving problems as they do into slagging each other off I may be encouraged into supporting one of them.

I hope I have put this view across in a clear , polite and impartial way, and to those who say a no vote is a waste and an insult to the fallen, please read this and tell me if your view may have changed, even just a little.

I appreciate your view, but mine is unchanged.

If I felt nobody was worth my vote, I would spoil my ballot paper. That way, my disapproval would be recorded.

You could say that no vote is because you are comfortable with the status quo, nobody would know it is because you are dissatisfied. You need to say something, even if it is gibberish.

I've got a parrot, I could make an eye patch and I'm sure I could sing a shanty, so could I rely on your vote next time?

Chad.

PS. Yes, postal vote.

My view hasn't changed even a little.

Not voting is not a no vote it is just nothing.

Bradford West voters came out in 2012 and voted for George Galloway of the Respect Party. That sent out a very clear message to the other political parties.

They must have been disillusioned with the other candidates for him to have such a high majority.

Yup, I would vote Monster Raving Loony if he was still alive. After all, he wanted things like 24 hour pub opening and pet passports. We have both now anyway.

Would be nice to see some real people on the ballot paper instead of the usual pap.

Yes I voted I dont think any of them are any different they are all robbing barstards but there you go. For some reason bexhill is cons though and though, I put it down to the rich oaps we have down here. If Cameron grew horns turned red and had a forked tail they would still vote cons. So thats the only reason I voted to try and get a change.
