Replaced that, to me it looks almost like a resonance problem. The distance between the crank pulley and the alternator is matching a natural frequency when it idles.

it could be the rubber in the replacement crank pulley is not quite speced right.

Yep, should have checked it earlier. I assumed the 75 had multiple earths and that couldn't be the problem.

The diesel members say that only the Corteco crank pulley is up to the task. Is that the brand you bought?
