Harry Leslie Smith RIP
I'm immensely saddened to read of the death of this wonderful and eloquent humanitarian. He was a veteran of the second world war who'd been born into extreme poverty, and expressed his ideas with clarity and simplicity. Someone once described him to me as "the voice of our conscience", and I don't think that's wide of the mark. I think he was an exemplary human being.
If you don't know who he was, it's worth playing the short video clip further down the page in this report of his passing - https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/...h-dies-aged-95

Yes a sad day indeed, I followed Harry on his twitter page for the last 12 months or so, pity there are not more people like him in power, the world would be a much nicer place.
