thumping noise

hi all, a month or so ago i posted a problem i had with a thumping noise coming from the front of the car which, i thought it might have been suspension related as it used to happen when i pulled away i would the ease off the power and it would stop,however since then it has happened a few times whilst stationary with the engine running espicially when the passenger gets out and slams the door this seems to set it off.

the best way i can describe the noise is like a spring operated flap opening and shutting really fast, any help would be really great as i am at my wits end,

the car is a 2.0 cdti if that has any bearing

Hi rover Barmy

Thanks for the suggestion of the engine mount I take it that if I were to rock the engine back and forth there would be some play in it
