Loved him...He had a certain Panache about him. His expressions and wit had me in stitches many a time...The best bond..An only child but you would never have know it.

I remember as a kid watching The Saint and drawing the shows "logo man" with its halo on all my school books and then getting told off for it

The show I enjoyed of his most was The Persuaders. The mixture of Tony Curtis and Roger Moore was excellent. A real synergy between them.

Have you seen his film - "The Man Who Haunted Himself" ?

Brilliant film !!

And if my memory serves - I think he may have driven a Rover in it

Not sure now as I haven't seen it for ages - but I think he drove a P5 or P6?

Checked here and found it was an Austin 3 litre

I can remember him in the b/w/tv Ivanhoe (1957?). He took a lot of stick over his time with the glorious Dorothy Squires, my word the lady could belt out a song.
