On the way back from an ecu repair today, we managed to find this in someone's front garden!
Better than a gnome any day of the week, Deb had a chat with the owner who is more than happy to chat about the planes history and let folks take piccies 😎😎

WOW, good find Andy. English Electric Lightning fighter. When these things took off and climbed near vertical it was very spectacular.

they have one in a museum near me, very impressive and they let me sit in the cockpit. apparently massively fast even by today's standards

Years ago The Buck Pub in Chop Gate had a Lightening jet in the rear garden. Was there for a while, then I believe the Council got involved....and no more jet. Killjoy mode I expect.
