Default Rather disturbing

Hi all, my friends in the club, who I sometimes exchange emails with, will be aware of this already. From time to time ,I receive an email from one of them, not always the same person, it begins with "Hi," and a link to a random website, not always the same one, and ends with their name. I asked one of my mates about one that came from him, and he said he knew nothing of it, and hadn't contacted me. I guessed then it was spam, and each time I get one now, it is marked as such and deleted.
The thing which has annoyed me more than disturbed me, is one I received today, came from Alan Hester, who we all know sadly left us in February.
When I clicked on the sender's name, it came back with a different address to that which Alan used. I find it sickening if some organisation is getting my contacts, and using the name of a deceased person to further their own gains. Have any more of you had this at all? I have alerted Reebs about this, in case there is foul play at large.

Hi Richard.
Not had any issues here but I'd be inclined to change passwords here and on any e-mail addresses you have.
The perpetrators of this are just sick low life's

I don`t exchange emails between members but in the past I have had emails from friends in the same way you describe (not deceased though)
These email senders get addresses from places like "send a birthday card" type sites and the worst in my opinion are those whereby it tells you to forward within "ten minutes", jokes are another one that get`s forwarded.
Also your contacts address books can get hacked and then everyone starts to suffer.
Ken.

I occasionally get those dodgy type of emails, and they must be suspect when there is no normal content, and especially when addressed to groups - be wary, and if necessary contact the alleged sender and confirm with them.

I have done this already, and the persons in question have confirmed they didn't send them. The names of the people are the same, but when I click on the "from", the email address is slightly different from the ones that I have.

I had a similar thing on hotmail Richard..I believe they get into your contacts list and go from there.I received an email from my own email address .and couldnt block it as it said " I " was the sender. So can sympathise with your predicament.
