IIRC this was at Balderton, so more or less in Newark (2 miles) rather than Grantham (14 miles)

(not an issue in any way, just saying! )

There was a shop in Golders Green which had a jet on the roof, not sure if it's still there.

Default Leuchars

Lived under the flightpath North from RAF Leuchars from 1965 ( was 1!) until I left home and used to hear lightnings doing QRA at night frequently. Fabulous but very thirsty aircraft. Used to love going to the Leuchars Airshow to see them strut their stuff. Awesome.
