HK Subwoofer - Loom for Aftermaket Head Unit

Hi guys,

I retro-fitted the HK subwoofer and would like to connect it to my aftermarket head unit to enjoy the bass. Could I use the original loom and simply use a connector? Anyone got some ICE skills he or she would be willing to share? That would be very much appreciated! Thanks!

Head unit: JVC KD-R961BTE
Adapter lead: PC99-X39

Have you used the original amp or an aftermarket one? I retrofitted a HK sub to my dads 75 and wired it up to a Alpine Amp, and just ran a RCA from the head unit to the amp.

Also, if you want to improve the bass from the HK sub, I replaced the sub speakers for some rainbow ones which made a big improvement.

I intended to use the original amp... unless you tell me that it's going to be a big problem. What is required?

Also, the idea with the rainbow speakes sounds great! Any link? Thanks!

Hi mate, sorry been really busy so not had the chance to get back to you. I'll have to find the link for the speakers, as I can't find it at the moment.
