Hi Phil.
Yes, believe it or not, still happening I sent the wheels away last week for refurb and to have a new set of tyres fitted, should be back this week.
Still trying to find a gearbox loom because the original from 577 is melted. The engine is all back together now and I think I have eventually managed to track down a set of those elusive front down pipes. As soon as I have something worth posting piccies of, I'll get some on.

Default wow

Just read this thread from start to finish.

Can't wait to see her complete and more importantly, mot'd and running.

I thought I was good getting the handbrake back to as is should be like from factory

What have I been doing? have I been drinking tea... Yes, have I been in the garage...Yes, have I been drinking tea in the garage working on 005... Yes

What have I achieved...

Brand new rain sense windscreen fitted
Newly refurbed straights with new tyres fitted
Engine built, new sump, new oil pickup pipe, new intake manifold, new thermostat, new l/h exhaust manifold, new engine mountings, new engine wiring harness, new MAF sensor, new MAP sensor, new fuel pressure regulator, new gearbox wiring harness, new downpipes/cats, new power steering pipes, new power steering reservoir & cooler, new a/c pipes, new a/c condenser, new radiator. There are probably more new parts that I have forgotten at the moment, I'll list those later.
Engine & gearbox mated together and installed on subframe, subframe built into complete stuff up assembly.

Wait for it...........

Stuff up fitted!!!!!!!!!!!! Been an awfully, awfully long time since the old gal was sat on 4 wheels with an engine & gearbox bolted in place
Took me until 04.00 hrs Saturday morning to fit all by myself, but it was worth it. Gotta get plumbing it in now

Pictures will follow. Really weird, I am brainy enough to build 005 from a total wreck, but not brainy enough to work out how to post photo's on here
If I can't work out how to post them, Andy (Trikey) has kindly offered to post them for me. Watch this space!

Okay, I think I might have the hang of this picture posting thing thanks to Trikey's patience with all my rambling questions
One brand new Inlet manifold to replace the damaged one
