Default Xtrons steering wheel controls

Good morning, i have a xtrons DD unit and would like to connect up the steering wheel controls.

It is 53 plate ZT and has the infrared box with three wires going to it. I have key 1 and key 2 from the headunit loom and was wondering if any one has been able to get their SWC to work?

Many thanks

You'll need to connect either key 1 or key 2 to the blue/purple and the ground wire from your unit to the black wire.

DO NOT use the green/white wire as that is a 12 volt positive feed. make sure that is taped up so it can't touch anything!

Once connected you will need to find the menu on your unit to set/program the steering wheel controls up

Thank you.

Does that mean I can cut the infrared box out completely?

Yep......but make sure that green and white wire can't short out against anything

Well I tried this today and it didn't work.

On the grey iso block which has the power ground etc there is two wires coming for the car side which if I touch one of the key wires to, it brings up the menu to bind the controls. Unfortunately still doesn't work.
