Well done Jon, really please for you.

Mine has passed its previous 3 MOT's with no advisories, I just hope I can keep it up and make sure she wants for nothing. lol

Look forward to seeing yours sometime Jon, I bet it will make mine look past its sell by date.

Great thread and well done for all the hard work you have done on this car. A lot of time and effort has been put into getting the car to such a high standard, and hope it is all worth it, and well done also for getting it through the MOT, always a worrying time

Hopefully might get to see it in the flesh

Once again well done, a credit to you

Stu
Thanks Stu. I still have the suspension to rebuild but that can be done with her on the road as I have another set up in the garage.

Thanks mate thats very kind

Im sure there are better out there that have had a cosetted life but considering she was off to the scrappy until this idiot turned up and she had just been a family work horse all her life she is coming up pretty good. Just the suspension to do but I am enjoying her for a bit and working on the suspension off the car

you can never tell with MOTs and older cars. The garage I use are very good though and have common sense. I remember arguing with a tester at another garage many years ago when he failed my wifes car for the high level brake light not working in the rear window. This model had a high level fitted in the boot spoiler so the window one was not even fitted from manufacture!!! Whilst arguing and showing matey the car his mate came out to see what the commotion was and told his mate he was wrong and I was right. He still failed the car. It went to appeal and I was proven right but I ask you!.I never used that garage again.

The tester who tested the MG was very complimentary

Took the car for an hours drive over the moors today. Its not often you get in a car and just drive with no destination or timeline to meet. It was a joy

Took some photos on the way back. Realised these are probably the first pictures of her off the drive

I did take some more but photobucket is being a bitch tonight
