Set of 1.8 non turbo non vvc con rods.

Hello all,

So I have got news back from the machine shop. We knew the engine needed new con rods… They said they would have some for the engine so all would be good. But they have rung me today saying they don’t have any. The ones they have are a different size bolt. He mentioned there was 3 types of engine and ours was the mg version with bigger bolts. This is news to me as I assumed, they were all the same.

Would anyone have a set of good rods and big ends for a 1.8 non vvc and non turbo 1.8 k series engine they are willing to let go of?

If they come with pistons do I need to change the liners too or can I just put a new piston with rod into my existing liner?
