Default Question : will a v6 back box fit a 1.8 turbo saloon

Maybe I’ve confused myself, but I noticed on Rimmers that the part number for an aftermarket 1.8 turbo saloon back box is the same part number as a v6 aftermarket back box, now I’m sure from my memory that they both have I same 60mm diameter pipe, has anybody fitted a V6 back box to a 1.8 turbo and was it a straight fit ?

My understanding is that the Rover 75 V6 is 57mm after the boxes (mine certainly was) and the ZT 190 is 60mm along with the 1.8 T.
The 190 and the standard V6 fit onto the cat the same as they are the same size at that end.

Yeah I thought that the 190 was 60mm but I wondered if a 190 rear box will be a easy fit onto a 1.8T it’s something I’ve never tried

Yes, the V6/190 and the 1.8T back boxes are interchangeable. I bought a 190 box for by 1.8T, but haven't fitted it as yet,.

Yes, it should fit fine. Give me a nudge and we'll sort you out with one of our original Clamshell design items, they're built to last

Yes just fitted one to my 1.8T, good bit of kit, but you have to mod the rear bumper and fit the ZT bumper tail pipe trim like I have or remove the exhaust tail pipe trims and fit down pipe trims.
