Auto-dimming rear view mirror.
A picture is worth a thousand words so here's my rear view mirror. It's a 2005 diesel.
https://i.imgur.com/D9yof3ul.jpg As you can see the lower 80%-ish of the mirror has gone black. It does not respond to light sources. This appears to be a liquid issue as pressing on it with a fingertip will move the dark area around. I assume it's toast, but is it possible to get the liquid out to lighten it up? Or repair it in any way? |

Just to put this thread to bed and give thanks for the help, I sourced a mirror from Mickeyboy and fitted it, a five-minute job, and I've never looked back.
