Are all Android/Windows radios the same?
General enquiry, please redirect if posted to the wrong forum.
I am thinking of installing an Android/Windows double din navigation unit. In previous cars I have used Kenwood DNX/Garmin D/D models. However I would prefer to have an easier installation and contemporary maps. Can anyone recommend a particular make/model? Or are all these Rover/MG/E46 compatible models the same but with a different badge? I've noted the Radioguy correspondence and also contacted Jubbarelly. I would appreciate user input. |

I'll take it that nobody has any idea regarding the different models of the Android/Windows radios on the market. Whether they're all the same electronics with a generic Rover/E46 facia and a different badge, or there is a variation in quality and performance. I read references to 'cheapo Chinese units' but how to differentiate with better quality models?

Not sure of the differences between the different Chinese brands but I fitted an android Xtrons unit to my sister's E46 and it is superb. Has all the features you could need
Debating fitting the same unit to my ZT but sticking with the highline for now. |

I think Windows units cant be updated, but the Androids can. You can add apps to them like a phone.
