Default Do you see many mg rovers cars on your travels these days?

Got me wondering from another post do you see many MG Rover products now in daily service running around on the British roads, near you?

Depends where you live I suppose Loads in the Midlands, not so many further north or south. Also, as the 75's are banger money for the time being, many are being run to the ground then scrapped, or moved on.

I see a Mk.1 75 Tourer just about every day on the way to work (and they wave ).

Also see a Mk.2 45 (but I would as it's my parents and I pop in at a lunch time during the working week) lol.

There are a few 75s around Halesworth, and I see a few of them every now and then. (Doesn't seem to be any ZTs that I know of though).

Also quite a few 75/ZTs around Lowestoft, so see them as well.

There are still some about but the numbers are dropping very quickly. Got to remember the newest MGRs are 13 years old now so well into scrapping age.

another 2 years I reckon and any MGR will be a rate sight

About 10 or so 75's around my area in St Albans, Hertfordshire but the only ZT apart from mine is at the other end of my road.

I was in Spain a month ago, Costa Del Sol. Saw several 75's plus a couple of 45/ZS's and a 25. Have also seen older 620 and 800 Rovers out there.

In fact, the community president of the apartment we own (www.number28.net) was using up until last year, their UK Rover 45 without any problems including a number of return trips to Bristol. It finally succumbed to the Spanish MOT rules which were tightened up and it failed on emissions with about 180k on the clock.

Any Spanish members on here?

I do not see very many on the roads now. Certainly not as many as I used to. Recently I have only seen one 75 parked in a hotel car park at The Alvaston Hall Hotel.

I saw 5 Rover 75s and one ZT on my journey from Weston s Mare to Llangollen today. One of the 75s, a 52 plate in British racing green had customised chrome, with every strip doubled.

All the 75s over here ( western australia) get bought up and disappear and put in sheds i think.
My cars are the only ones i see out on tge road.
See the odd one left being driven around but they now seem to be getting collectable and salted away by collectors.
Currently see a 2004 mgzt being sold here for about 8k aud so zt prices are going up.
As a matter of interest , MG over here doing a huge advertising push currently.
