Default Non POL attendees thread

I can't go to POL this year, instead I'm having a weekend away with SWMBO
To make matters worse, not only am i not going to POL but i don't even get to drive my ZT or TF or her 3 I'm having to take the works Toyota Avensis as my son needs his Tuba and his pal delivered to Yorkshire ( bet you didn't know Tubas don't fit in a saloons boot)

It will be nice being away with Miriam but i do wish i was heading to Cofton park!

So if you aren't going to POL, what are you doing instead?

Choral singing at Good Friday and Easter Day services, reinstalling the satnav in my Volvo, continuing to dismantle and repair a Yamaha Thundercat. Hopefully get some time to exercise the JZR.

And of course there's F1 and IIRC, BTCC to pull in........

Apart from that, a boring weekend!!

PS Simon, way back when, my Dad used to cart my drum kit around for me before I was old enough to drive, and he was heard to mutter on several occasions "next time m'lad, you're going to play the piccolo". Perhaps you could learn from this?

Cool

Not going to POL either but will be attending the Monogram line up at Ragley Hall on Sunday. Saturday will be spent getting Banana ready. I'll be back to building the Lamborghini today and on Monday down the pub.

No POL for me. Sunday is the first run of the year for the MG Car, Club Caledonian Centre ending at Gloagburn Farm Tibbermore Perth so im going on that. Driving the MG around Scotland's A and B roads is much better than standing in a big field!

Probably nothing car related other than washing & vacuuming them - then finishing sorting and re-painting my office.

And then whatever else I can be bothered to do (or the wife lets me )

I'll be looking after the Easter campers down on the campsite in the mornings, then I'll be attempting to change the timing belt, tensioner and water pump on my MGF

I'd love to be going to POL though.

Mowing the garden (best bit), spot spraying nettels in sheep field, year-end bills.

Rest of the weekend, replacing some sheep fencing. By Monday evening, having used the post driver on and off for 3 days, I will have discovered muscles in my body that I did not remember existed. Then be at work from Tuesday, with an aching body.

I may find a couple of hours to have a go at the CDT headlamps - they are looking quite bad and I purchased a Rain-X kit last week.

I have only been to POL once, and will not go again, it's boring and I was very disappointed, having been led to believe it was THE MGR event of the year.
Instead I will be messing about with brother in law's caravan, and probably bringing mine home and getting it checked out in preparation for the season.

Our oldest daughter has her Irish partner over for Easter and his two kids from a previous relationship. Anne wants to go to a local garden centre and on Sunday Emma is heading to us after being in Italy for a week....... I wonder if she's bringing me some Panda goodies
Anyway those that are lucky enough to go to POL have a great time.
